Monsoon season

The windy season has descended upon us. We have been having daily rain! The temp has dropped to the low 100's! Only problem is, now it's a tad bit on the humid side. Generally though we have all been enjoying the change in the weather!

We are back in the swing of things now that the 4th has past. We didn't take the boat out all weekend. We did make our way down to the lake for some people watching on Sunday, always a good time. We did see one "hanger", a person trying to board a boat and doesn't quite make it and ends up hanging off the side. It's quite funny if it's not you.

Wow, it's been a really long time since I posted!

2008 has been ok. 2Q was a bit rough, Mom passed in May and I had some serious health concerns after returning from Albuquerque. I'm back on my feet for the most part and we are starting to enjoy the summer.

We've been here a year now and will probably never leave. I can't imagine another place that would afford us all we have here. We have lots of family time, the lake and some great new friends. There's always something fun to do and the people couldn't be any nicer!

For the 4th, we are to and from our across the street neighbors. They are hosting a party but it's more an in and out swim now, eat later kind of thing. So, since it's 119 today, I am at home cooling off in our brisk 80 degree house. I'll head back in a bit.
